Field activities
I organize different field activities dedicated to more or less specific aspects of sciences and wildlife.
1. Environmental guides
This type of activity is dedicated both to generic nature tourists and to more specific themes.
As a generic guide I work in the Genova province, taking public to various nice natural places like Aveto Park, Beigua Park and so on.
As a “small critters” guide, I guide small groups of very interested and motivated people that want to see and/or photograph particular species of Amphibians, Reptiles and Insects otherwise difficult to find. I’ve a great experience in most of the North-western Italy. This service is often used by foreign researchers and photographers that in a few days can see and photograph many different species of interest.
2. Technical works
I often work with parks and private people for technical works, mostly related to echological studies about Amphibians, Reptiles, new Energy Sources and Biodiversity.
I worked for example for the “Parco Regionale delle Capanne di Marcarolo” on the wet-lands monitoring project of the park.
3. Photography and biowatching courses
Each year theoric/field courses in photography and biowatching are organized from starter to advanced level.
-
Basic course in wildlife photography : 10 hours (5 lessons) of theory with 2-3 field excursion to learn the basics of wildlife photography
-
Advanced course/workshops: 2 days courses in macro-photography and other types of techniques. Normally this kind of courses are organised in collaboration with the parks I work with (Parco Beigua, Parco Aveto and so on).
-
Personal/Private lessons: upon request, I can manage to teach photography in private field lessons for up to two people/lesson.
-
Biowathing courses: this type of course is very similar to the phographic ones, but more oriented to watching and discover nature and biodiversity around us. It is for non-photographers people that want to explore the nature and its thousands wonders. Biowatching is mostly used by classrooms and small groups of nature lovers
